Back in May, I was the sound recordist, and did the audio-post production for a Mockumentary called Studio F. I also ended up writing the music!

Studio F is a sitcom within a sitcom!

Following an eclectic ensemble of characters we bring the audience on the set of a pilot episode with zero budget. Ever shipped* your favourite on-screen couple, and secretly their respective actors? Well, Studio F gives you both. Will relationships ruin their onscreen chemistry? And will they actually manage to film anything decent by the end?

This was great fun to do.

*In pop culture and internet slang, “shipping” (short for “relationshipping”) is the desire for two people or fictional characters to be in a romantic relationship. It means you root for them to be a couple, whether or not they are actually together in real life or the storyline.

The title music is particularly special to me as it features my late partners ukulele which she played several times in the theatre where the filming took place. Also used was a kazoo (same model my late partner also had before it got chewed up by her friends dog!), a clapperboard sample (one recorded on set) for percussion, and a flex-a-tone!

We are currently working on final edits and music. Release date TBC but soon. Do go and give them a follow on Facebook for more details.
